Brotato Primal Dread Console Release Date (Early 2027)

Is Primal Dread out on console yet?

No. As of 4 November 2026, Brotato: Primal Dread is only on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The Steam store page lists a 2 November 2026 release for that build.

Console and handheld players are still waiting. Evil Empire’s release-date trailer quotes:

Brotato: Primal Dread is launching November 2, 2026 on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Coming early 2027 on consoles and mobile.

That trailer is the clearest first-party timing for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, iOS, and Android together. No exact calendar date—not even a month—has been posted for any console or mobile store.

What platforms are confirmed for early 2027?

The trailer only says “consoles and mobile.” Gematsu’s Triple-i recap lists PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch 2, Switch, iOS, and Android as press reporting of the showcase—not a separate Evil Empire post naming each SKU.

Until store pages or patch notes appear per system, treat early 2027 as one window and assume staggered launches are possible.

What can you play on PC while consoles wait?

Will mods or Item Sets matter on console?

Update 1.2 added Item Set toggles on the character select screen (Item Sets guide). That patch shipped with the PC Primal Dread launch.

Steam Workshop mods are PC-only. Console players should follow platform store updates when the DLC arrives, not the PC mod fixes after 1.2 page.

What we still do not know

• Exact release date per platform, or whether all stores launch the same week.
• Whether Update 1.2 ships separately from the paid DLC on console and mobile.
• Regional certification delays on Switch and mobile.
• Console and mobile DLC pricing.
